Innovation Scholars

Innovation Scholars is supported by the National Science Foundation through a grant from the Innovation Corps (I-Corps) program.

Participants will learn best practices for innovative, team-based entrepreneurship through the I-Corps curriculum of Lean Launch and Business Model Canvas. This FIVE-WEEK format provides real-world, hands-on learning experiences.

Participants who complete the program will receive an Innovation Scholars Certificate of Completion - great for your CV.

WHO

Open to all students and postdoctoral fellows at the University of South Alabama

Also open to approved partner institutions: Bishop State, Spring Hill College, University of Mobile

WHAT

Create a virtual product, develop your own early-stage idea, or utilize existing technology.

Engage industry to identify knowledge gaps between a technology concept and a market-ready product.

HOW

Partner with faculty and entrepreneurial mentors to learn the art of customer discovery through hands-on, real-world, team-based learning.

Teams receive up to $2500 in support.

The I-Corps Innovation Scholars program is offered in the spring, summer, and fall. Sign up to receive more detailed information.

COURSE CREDIT
