The University of South Alabama Department of Communication encourages students to apply for communication internships during their junior or senior year. By completing an internship, students gain critical skills that prospective employers seek in candidates for full-time positions.

Here is a list of current local and national organizations that offer USA students communication internships in areas such as broadcast journalism, advertising, public relations, radio, video production, fundraising, web services, and athletic events.

Apply for Internships

Communication internships provide on-the-job experience. Applicants should hold a junior or senior standing, have at least a cumulative 2.5 GPA and cumulative major 2.75 GPA, and submit an application with approval from an advisor.

Internship Partners

---

Sponsor organizations and internship supervisors provide valuable learning experiences for communication student interns. The USA Department of Communication builds relationships with internship partners to fulfill program expectations.
